It started with an email...

A simple little missive. "It's time to plant peas!" This popped into my inbox yesterday, via SproutRobot.com, a service I signed up for last year and forgot about. But luckily it didn't forget about me! It reminded me, oh so simply, that it is TIME, once again, to get my hands dirty!

YAY!!!

Oh, it is time to plant peas... which means I need to get myelf over to my garden plot and check out what winter did. Of course, winter isn't over yet. Far from it. That's the point, peas like cold weather... but spring is coming. I need to check on my garlic planted last fall. See if the daffodils and hyacinths are peeking up yet. See how hard the soil is. And plant some peas!

It is ALSO time to plant seeds for eggplant, peppers and, in a week, tomatoes. I will be hosting these seeds in the new greenhouse tower that will be gracing our front window for the next couple of months. What? If you can't tell I'm a gardener when you walk into my house, you might be shocked by the dirt and tools sitting everywhere....

Today and tomorrow we have some unseasonably wonderful weather. This weekend it will be cold again. Time is short, tasks are long, but that's ok. It's gardening time!

Whew! Made it through another winter!
