I would call myself a slug...

but for the fact that slugs are invertebrates and thus do not have the capacity for back pain or numbness in the legs. They don't, in fact, have legs. But I do. Not that you would know it... I haven't been out of the house in 6 days aside from 3 trips to the chiropractor. I haven't had anywhere else to go... well, except for work, which I'm doing from home. I'm dreading tomorrow, as I have to go in, but I know that within half an hour of sitting in my desk chair I'll have electric shocks running down my right leg. See, me and sitting.... they don't go so well together. I can do it easily with pillows, but a hard chair? nuh-uh. my ergonomic chair might actually be comfortable if the parts of me that are supposed to be ergonomic were actually in the right place. They aren't. That's the problem.

Yesterday they added the rolling bed and the wobble board to my physical therapy. The rolling bed hurt for about the first half of use, which may be why I'm so sore today, but the wobble board? I don't need a wobble board to wobble. I have horrific balance on my own, thank you! But hey, the doc says to wobble for 5 minutes, so I wobbled. wobble wobble wobble. I love that word. Anyway, the doc shared with me that a herniated disc will pretty much always be with you, but the pain doesn't have to be. meaning.... we can push it back in enough so it stops bumping into your sciatic nerve, and you'll be ok.

I will be ok.

eventually.

But I have to go into the office tomorrow, if only because I haven't been in a week. Not that odd, since I had Monday and Tuesday off and Wednesday was my normal telecommute day.... but still, I have to show my face. Plus Matt has Friday off and it's really hard to work while he's home, not working.

Sorry I don't have much to say. I haven't been out of my house in almost a week! I can tell you it's raining!
