More on the fried fan
Apparently Hampton Bay ceiling fans often die after about 2 years. I found this out when I found a ceiling-fan forum. I had no idea such a thing existed. My problem with the fan is a common one... I haven't found the exact problem in the archives, but so many that were similar that I think it's probably a bad receiver... which is 10 feet in the air. Back to that needing a taller ladder thing... Anyway, even though they die after 2 years, they do come with a lifetime warranty, which is kind of surprising, but at least I shouldn't have to pay too much for parts. Luckily the heat wave is supposed to break tonight and it should return to a crisp 85 degrees! I bet it will feel good!
