Thoughts to Zach
I've been avoiding writing about this because I just, well, I just don't want my mom to freak out and tell me to move.
But I want to talk about it. So here I go.
The story of Zach Sowers' attack is despicable. It's just amazingly disgustingly BAD. I can't believe it, but at the same time, sadly, I do. City living has its ups and downs, but this is beyond picking up trash or a busted out car window. This is a matter of life and death for someone who shouldn't be in this situation. He wasn't doing anything "wrong". He wasn't part of the wrong scene. He was outside his own house. And he's fighting for his life right now. He's also a neighbor. A few blocks away, but a neighbor. One of the guys accused in this crime lives behind me.
So take a minute and read Zach's story and send whatever thoughts and prayers you can to him and his family, especially his wife of just 8 months.
