check, check, check, check, check and CHECK!!!
This has been a very good trip! I'm exhausted and I think I'm starting to get sick, but since I arrived on Friday afternoon, I have:
1) Driven 7 hours round trip with mom to "The biggest bridal store in the south"... which was completely worth the trip! The ladies were very southern and not in the least bit pushy. They were also wearing LOTS of hairspray!
2) Found and ordered my dress and accessories! YEA!
3) Visited with the florist/event coordinator/wedding guru to design the entire floor plan layout, ceremony schematic, centerpieces, bouquets, bouttenieres, corsages, candlescapes, pathway guides, etc... etc... plus linens and bows, cake flowers and pub tables.
4) Visited the tux shop to make sure Matt would like it, picked up catalogs and talked timelines.
5) Walked through 3 brand new hotels to see their different room layouts, amenities, and group rates, while also attempting to pick our own "honeymoon suite" for the pre-honeymoon, since we aren't leaving immediately after the wedding.
6) Shown my dress and hair jewelry to the jeweler to decide on my necklace and earrings for the wedding, which are now being quoted and designed as my 30th birthday present.
I'm now completely worn out, but tomorrow I'll drive 3 hours back to Dallas to fly back to Baltimore and get back to "life as I'm used to". I'm glad... I don't think I can handle much more of this!
